    Admission is paid at the entrance gate—cash only.

    No pre-purchased tickets are needed, so just drive up, park, pay at the gate, and enjoy a full day of fun at Balloons Over Vermilion! Be sure arrive early to make parking a breeze.

    Parking & Traffic Info – Expect heavy traffic around Kennekuk County Park (Henning Rd.).

    There is ONE entrance to the Park. The Balloons Over Vermilion Festival is approximately 1 mile beyond the entrance of the park.

    Parking is free.

    Admission will be taken at the entrance to the event.

    Arrive early, follow signs, and get ready for a great event!

    We are committed to ensuring that all guests have a comfortable and enjoyable experience at the Balloons Over Vermilion. Our event offers accessible parking and tethered balloon rides to accommodate patrons with mobility needs.

    Accessible Parking can be accessed through the main entrance of the Kennekuk County Park.

Directions: Balloons Over Vermilion takes place at Kennekuk County Park and is conveniently located off of Henning Rd. Look for our signage and traffic attendants to guide you.

  • From I-74: Take Exit 210 (Martin Luther King). Head east on Rt 150 for about .5 mile until you reach the Henning Rd stop light. Turn north onto Henning Rd., the event entrance is approximately 4 miles north on Henning Rd.

  • From Main St.: US-150 W/West Main St., turn right onto Henning Road, and follow signs to the park entrance.
